Ryan is Vice Chairman of the California Lawyers Association, Licensing & Technology Transactions Group, Intellectual Property Section. Since starting his law practice in 2006, he has been teaming up with clients to create and implement effective strategies to litigate over, or negotiate, sophisticated tech and media transactions. Along the way, he has taught seminars on practical applications of blockchain and other emerging technologies at schools including University of Copenhagen's Center for Advanced Studies in Biomedical Innovation Law. He has written for, or has been interviewed by, Gizmodo, The Parallax, and Digital Trends about tech-media issues like the use of artificial intelligence to flag "deep fake" videos. Recently, Ryan was an adjunct professor of media law at Pepperdine Law School. He is currently based in Los Angeles.
