As we prepare to vote in the General Election on 4 July, and with 2024 dubbed the year of elections worldwide, the prevalence and sophistication of deep fakes and the impact they might have on the democratic process is of real concern.
Our event "Generative AI and Deepfakes: Understanding the Illusion" will look at the operation of deepfakes, the implications for online safety and public trust, as well as identifying future legislative and commercial developments on deepfakes.
