National Day of Action for Open Access: Feb. 15

By David Levine on

I received an email announcement from freeculture.org, "a diverse, non-partisan group of students and young people who are working to get their peers involved in the free culture movement," excerpted and html-ized (is that a word?) below:

"If you haven't yet seen the announcement, FreeCulture.org has declared February 15 a 'National Day of Action for Open Access'. Our chapters across the U.S. are organizing activities to raise awareness of open access to scientific research and the Federal Research Public Access Act (FRPAA).  Read the press release here."

Interesting effort for an interesting and important cause, and worth checking out.
