T-Mobile service 'harms competition,' Stanford study says

"The Federal Communications Commission ruled in 2015 to protect net neutrality and prevent internet service providers from treating content differently. In a 50-page study released on Friday, Stanford Law School professor Barbara van Schewick said Binge On violates the ruling, harms competition and forces content providers to work with T-Mobile.

“If left unchecked, Binge On leads us down a slippery slope,” she wrote in the study. “More and more (internet service providers) will become gatekeepers that pick winners and losers online, distorting competition for an increasing number of Internet users.”"
