In this talk, Monica Chew and Garrett Robinson gave a brief overview of the tracking landscape and discussed tracking techniques and their attendant privacy concerns. They demonstrated Lightbeam, a Firefox add-on, and showed how it visualizes hidden relationships between the site you visit and tracking domains. They then discussed future improvements to Lightbeam and ways to preserve online privacy. Audience members were invited to bring their questions and their laptops!
