As part of the Global Data Protection policy workshop at this year’s Privacy Identity Innovation conference, we hosted a session titled “Data Collection and Consent: Next Steps for Digital Advertising” that looked at the status of the do not track debate, what might happen going forward and the impact these efforts may have on consumers and companies.
Moderated by Advertising Age’s data reporter Kate Kaye, the panel featured JC Cannon (director of privacy strategy in Microsoft’s Online Services Division), Aleecia McDonald (director of privacy at Stanford’s Center for Internet & Society), Chris Mejia (director of digital supply chain solutions & ad technology for IAB) and Berin Szoka (founder and president of TechFreedom). Watch video of their discussion below.
