Libel Claim Over the Sun's "Caprice in Clinic" Story

By Robin Hamman on

Supermodel Caprice has, according to the Press Gazette, launched a £100,000 legal battle for libel damages over stories in The Sun and on the paper’s website.

According to Caprice, the articles, published in in February 2007, implied that "...she was a depressed alcoholic washed-up has-been who, rather than get her life back on track by continuing with much-needed full-time medical treatment at the Priory, breezily and irresponsibly quit to go skiing and no doubt to continue boozing."
