I strongly encourage everyone to take some time this week and visit the 9th annual ADR Cyberweek, the online conference for the ODR field. The Center for Information Technology and Dispute Resolution has entitled this year's conference Cyberweek 2006: Shaping the Future of ODR and Online Justice, and it's looking to be a real doozy.
The conference consists of many different kinds of content related to the field of online dispute resolution, from Skypecasts to meetings in virtual worlds to Podcasts to discussion forums and more. It's free and all-online, with both asynchronous and real-time events.
I've done a few podcasts for this year's Cyberweek, including one with Sanjana Hattotuwa of InfoShare (who is well known to readers of this blog), Daniel Rainey of the National Mediation Board, and Robin Harper of Linden Lab/Second Life. I hope to have two more with Lauren Gelman of Stanford Law School and Arno Lodder of Vrije University in Amsterdam by the end of the week.
There's also some great discussion forums on virtual and physical ODR, culture and ODR, Peacebulding, disaster relief, and other topics, not to mention skypecasts, platform demos, and conference calls with ODR experts around the world. What more could anyone want! Honestly!
Cyberweek is scheduled to run from September 25 - 29. Please register here so that you can receive the most timely Cyberweek announcements and program schedule.
