The new phonebook's here! The new phonebook's here!

By Lawrence Greenberg on

I hope this isn't a statement about the quality of my life, or the pathetic person I have become.  I don't think it is.  Nevertheless, I'm very, very excited that the Delaware Supreme Court issued its opinion in the Disney derivative litigation. I can't wait to read it.

Business associations almost bored me to death when I took it, back in 1989, but it was tremendously stimulating (at least to me) when I taught it this year.  It's so much more than long documents, filed in dusty state offices. As the Disney case shows, corporate law has all the elements of great drama, except (usually) explosions:  money, power, pettiness, whining, senior executives yelling at limousine drivers.  Corporate law really embodies the Soylent Green principle of law:  it's people!
