TSA Censors SecureFlight Working Group Report (find it here)

In a fitting end to my participation on the TSA Secure Flight Working Group on Privacy and Security, the TSA has "scrubbed" our final report criticizing the program off its website according to a report by Ryan Singel (nice work!). "Several items have been refreshed to ensure appropriate information for public consumption is available," TSA spokesman Nico Melendez told Ryan. Their hubris is just unbelieveable.

Here's the report still on the TSA site (but not linked to). I've also uploaded it to the Stanford Server in case the scrubbing continues.

This project has been a debacle from beginning to end. It is an embarrassment for the TSA, the participants on our committee-- who took significant time out of our busy lives to provide expert advise to TSA when asked, and to all of you. This is just more evidence that we are governed by an Executive Branch that is determined to 'scrub' any criticism, and audacious enough to justify their censorship as "ensur[ing] appropriate information for public consumption."
