Podcast Legal Guide -- coming soon!!

By Colette Vogele on

So, I was thrilled by the reaction from podcasters to my plans to complete a podcasting legal guide. This project has been on my plate since late summer and it is coming together. After the questions and insights I gained from many at the PME, I feel like the pressure is on to get the first version of this guide out. Tomorrow, I'll be presenting an overview of the legal issues faced by podcasters at Stanford Law School and in December I hope to have the guide on-line at this site.

Now, to help make this guide as useful as possible, I've received help from Mia Garlick and Harvard's Berkman Center, as well as input from Chris McDonald of the Association of Music Podcasters and Indiefeed, and others I met this weekend at Expo. I would welcome other input from podcasters about what legal questions you have about using material of others in your podcasts as well as distributing your own content. Please comment here or send an email to podcasting[at]vogelelaw.com.
