You may have seen the ".tv" top level domain name. For example, Major League Baseball and Current TV use the .tv suffix. The "TV" in .tv does not stand for "television." It is a country code for Tuvalu, and the ISO issued the country codes for them to do what they would. In the small polynesian country's case, Tuvalu used their country code to bring in money through licensing.
