Mary Hodder has created a speaker's wiki which she seeded with a wealth of excellent women speakers on topics ranging from art to culture to parenting to law.  I hope people will take advantage of this resource.  I know that when I plan conferences I am always conscious of the gender ratio on the panels.  It is absurd to think that the over-abundance of men reflects their expertise as speakers.  I think men are just more aggressive about getting themselves noticed.  Tools like this can counter artificial imbalances rendered by social norms.  No-wonder the editor of Napsterization created it.
