Tom DeLay is taking aim at not-arch-conservative-enough Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy:
“Absolutely. We’ve got Justice Kennedy writing decisions based upon international law, not the Constitution of the United States? That’s just outrageous,” DeLay told Fox News Radio. “And not only that, but he said in session that he does his own research on the Internet? That is just incredibly outrageous.”
The international law criticism must stem from the Justice Kennedy's for the Court in Roper v. Simmons. See my excerpt here.
With respect to Internet research (which could include legal databases Westlaw and Lexis): Does DeLay want to tell students around the country that doing your own research on the Internet is wrong? I guess he believes it is better just to have an asinine opinion and stick to it, damn the facts.
