The Toronto Star, this week, considers in an op-ed whether Canada should indict George W. Bush for war crimes when he visits Canada. It would likely be a tremendously counterproductive move, but it's a sad fact that our actions have not been clearly abroach reproach. We have not lived up to what the world had come to expect of America and what we expected of ourselves. Needless to say, the suggestion provoked much vituperation when it was posted on a blog.
The first comment is relatively mild: "They're welome to try. We can alway add Alberta as our 51th state."
