Why Is Fox News Providing the Debate Video?

The Bush-as-Cyrano (or alternatively the "Waldrobe Malfunction" Bush) story reveals that Fox News was the only news channel recording the first debate, with feeds to other news channels.

Given Fox News' right-wing lurch (the question on their website right now asks: "Is Sen. Kerry too inconsistent in his political positions to lead the nation?") seems quite peculiar, especially when one considers how it can be politically advantageous to depict a candidate sighing or, alternatively, looking strong.

I noticed during the debates that we didn't get to see Bush's face sometimes when it was clear that he was agitated.
