Bush Gutter Politics

By Stanford Center for Internet and Society on

Kerry protests when people say he lied--even while a dozen folks who were on the boat with him and the Green Beret he fished out of the water vouch for his honesty--and the Bush campaign smears him yet again.

From the Washington Post: Resurrecting a tactic wielded against Arizona Sen. John McCain (R) four years ago, Bush surrogates have irresponsibly suggested that Mr. Kerry is dangerously rattled by the controversy, flinging about terms such as "wild-eyed" (Bush campaign chairman Marc Racicot) and "losing his cool" (White House press secretary Scott McClellan).

Shouldn't the media inquire into this concerted effort to paint John Kerry as unbalanced?  The same concerted effort used with great effect against John McCain?
