Torture Is Okay, Really, Memo

March 6, 2003 memo made available online, with a few redactions, by Wall Street Journal.  The reliance on our reservation that interprets torture narrowly may come back to haunt us.

One question worth asking is whether such legal memos should be "secret" at all.   It seems that the term "secret" is used to keep unpopular advice out of the public eye, rather than keep security information confidential.
