My friend Kwaku Andoh points me to Daniel Okrent's piece in the Times on Sunday on the subject of the Times' disturbing reporting pre-Iraq War. Okrent is the Times' "Public Editor," so a review from him of the Times' reporting seems long overdue.
Kwaku describes Okrent's piece as "sobering and penetrating; a first step on a long road to regaining the public's confidence in The Times."
The Okrent piece notes that the NYT mea culpa ran on page A10!
