So... anti-pedophilia groups are going into chat rooms, ensnaring pedophilies by inviting them out for a "meeting," and showing up with video cameras instead to catch them in the act. Same stuff the cops have been doing for years, except of course, these aren't cops, with the attendant checks and balances. The New York Times gets into the issues. Interesting quote from EFF that they now may regret the Wild West connotations that the "electronic frontier" may imply.
