Tip My Hat to the New Constitution...

As Iraq reconstruction moves forward towards some kind of Constitution, Slate offers an interesting take on the pro-feminist antecedents already present in Iraqi law. Apparently, Iraq already had laws on the books guaranteeing equal inheritance rights and divorce rights, which made them relatively progressive among Arab states.
