Internet Election?

By Lauren Gelman on

I wrote a guest column for Findlaw on why I don't think this Election will really be the "Internet Election."  As innovative as Dean's use of the Internet is, he's still just using it as a tool for doing traditional electioneering.  From the article--

We have yet to experience the true "Internet Election." In that election, the Internet will not simply be a tool for electioneering. Rather, the Internet's design will itself be a prototype for democratic discourse and decisionmaking -- as I will explain.

I've been thinking about this concept for a while and this is my first shot at publishing about it-- I hope people will comment on it.
