Excellent summary- style piece in the NYT: The Tyranny of Copyright. The type of piece you can give your mother to read so she understands why you are not 'supporting piracy.'
On that note, I cannot stand ads in the movie theatre-- after I've already paid $9.75. It's not like pay- for TV where I understand it is the business model. What's worse is the stupid stuntman ad. Does Valenti et al. not realize that he's preaching to people who paid to watch the movie. Sitting in the theatre, I am living proof that despite P2P, etc., people still are paying for movies. So stop preaching and start making better movies!
