Curiouser and curiouser

Listening to NPR this weekend I caught an interview with an artist who has just created a new pop-up book of Alice in Wonderland. I thought this was a fine illustration (groan) that works in the public domain inspire more creativity. A book isn't commercially worthless just because no one person has exclusive rights to use it. I just looked on Google to see if I could find the book and lo and behold, there are actually two different pop-up Alice in Wonderland books available at Amazon.com. Of course, you can get the basic Alice with the original two-dimensional illustrations from the Internet Archive. I never really thought I liked this book as a child, but I find scenes and lines pop into my head on a regular basis. hmmm.
