"Shrinkwrap" licensing on wood-shop tools

By Stanford Center for Internet and Society on

Reports are circulating that Stots Corporation, a maker of jigs (a.k.a. templates) for woodmaking, has been shipping its TemplateMaster jig with a shrink-wrap license stating that TemplateMaster may be "used in only one shop by the original purchaser only" and that "you may not allow individuals that did not purchase the original Product (to) use the Product or any templates produced using the Product…." It's a creep of those execrable software licenses. Bleah! (via BoingBoing)
