Creative Commons

The new nonprofit Creative Commons has launched! An official announcement was made at the O'Reilly Emerging Technologies Conference. Creative Commons has Molly Shaffer Van Houweling, a former Center for Internet & Society fellow, as Executive Director along with, Center founder Lawrence Lessig as Chairman. The Creative Commons will provide a free set of tools to enable creators to share aspects of their copyrighted works with the public.
