New CIS Staff Position: Privacy Director

Description:

Founded in 2001 by Lawrence Lessig and directed by Barbara van Schewick, the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School is a leading center for the study of the relationship between law, technology, and the public interest.

We are looking for a talented, entrepreneurial individual to direct the Center’s nationally recognized efforts around privacy beginning in the fall of 2012.  The successful candidate will help determine the strategic vision for privacy study at CIS, supervise research and other projects related to privacy, and otherwise manage and develop the Center’s innovative and influential privacy work.  Although the position is located within the Law School, CIS is part of a broader, interdisciplinary community at Stanford University and welcomes applicants of any training or background.
