I am a Colombian Industrial Designer turned into Interaction Designer and researcher in Finland where I currently work and study towards a Doctor of Arts in New Media.

In my work I have been looking at theoretical and practical implications of broad participation in design processes and how this relates to "innovation". Through engagement in various R&D projects I have explored the challenges of community driven innovation process and the relevance/pertinence of theories of Social Practice for design work.
I want to understand better if co-design tactics could be important elements in building new cultures of knowledge, specifically weather it is possible to enhance overall and not just corporate welfare.

During the spring of 2008 I will be a visiting researcher here in the Center, hoping to get a different perspective on some of the topics I am working with (user driven innovations, open content, etc).
