Please join Giancarlo Frosio and Daphne Keller on Tuesday for a presentation on the activities of the Stanford Intermediary Liability Lab (SILLab).
The SILLab is one of the projects at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School. The SILLab's goal is to serve the SLS community by sharing knowledge on intermediary liability related issues, contributing to the creation of the online Intermediary Liability Map, organizing conferences/workshops, writing blog posts/papers, and reaching out to the leading communications intermediaries and other platforms to find ways to work together to promote free speech and innovation online.
The SILLab will organize bimonthly meetings to achieve these goals. We have also set up a mailing list and a Facebook group to facilitate group interaction.
The SILLab is a great opportunity to be involved with one of the most critical issues in the regulation of the digital environment. From the "right to be forgotten" to copyright enforcement online, or website blocking, intermediary liability has been at the core of the digital debate in recent times. Inconsistency of regulations worldwide makes it extremely relevant to look at the intermediary liability conundrum from a international perspective.
