First International Congress on Fundamental Rights and Criminal Process in the Digital Era

Cryptography Fellow Riana Pfefferkorn gave a lecture titled "The American debate on surveillance and encryption". 

The InternetLab, independent research center in law and technology, with institutional support from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (FDUSP) , invites everyone to the international congress "Fundamental Rights and Criminal Procedure in the Digital Age", to be held between On May 29 and 31, 2017 at FDUSP.

The objective of the congress is to promote the discussion of topics at the intersection between criminal procedure and technology, addressing the guarantee of effective process and the protection of constitutional rights to privacy and the secrecy of communications in the face of new technologies.
