Bio

I am the Deputy Director of Privacy International in London, UK where I run the Freedom of Information Project, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Law, University of Leeds. Previously I was a Research Fellow at the Information Infrastructure Project at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a co-founder and Policy Director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center in Washington, DC. I have worked in the field of information policy for seventeen years and have written numerous books, studies, and articles on freedom of information, freedom of expression and privacy.
