Inside Facebook's efforts to stop revenge porn before it spreads

"“It’s one way to ensure your photos won’t be reposted,” said Danielle Citron, vice president of the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting nonconsensual porn. “It doesn’t mean they won’t appear on Pornhub, but it’s better to have something you feel like you can do. You feel helpless and your sexual identity is ripped from your control. It’s psychologically devastating.”

Citron said she found the media coverage of the pilot “really frustrating.”
