Now this is going to be cool:

I urge you to watch the youtube video of the demo. Who knows if it's going to get critical mass -- but there's no doubt that is some beautiful coding.

Can't wait for this to come out. I watched the video and Google wave is going to be the next best thing on the web.

Thought I might add this for your readers

Google Wave is a real-time communication platform. It combines aspects of email, instant messaging, wikis, web chat, social networking, and project management to build one elegant, in-browser communication client

As much as I find Google's monopoly on everything search I always love their news projects and the certainly have a knack for staying ahead of the curve.

Have you seen the the search engine by MSN called Bing?
We played around a little with it and and we like it.
Big improvement in our opinion.

Google Wave is supposed to replace traditional email systems and improve them by using more interactive, live, on-the-fly methods to deliver information.

Evidently Google is taking over everything. In fact, Google can track spreading diseases based on search terms faster than Health Research Facilities can. The main concern people question is the confidentiality of the information.

An impressive application, but is this simply an attempt by Google to penetrate the social networking market and to further increase their strangle hold on the world wide web?

So true, is this going to be another tool, so that google dominates the Internet even more.

I'm looking forward to trying out anything that GG comes out with, including the Wave. Hope they don't try to monetize it with advertising like on Gmail.

Oh well,

Ray Ozzie said that Google Wave is anti-web, and I think he's right. I guess it's very hard for Google Wave to really take off.

hi... I think that this tool gathers all the qualities contained in mails, instant messenger systems, facebook, etc. But all that mixture could be a little difficult for pwople to use, for example the parte where you comment on a blog and the message appears in the message so do the responses. so it seems to need a lot of practice to use it good.

I watched the video & I'm looking forward to getting involved! I only wish they didn't shut down Google Sites. I wanted to join that too. Now I'm into local internet marketing and having a blast offering online services to offline businesses.

Comment by Taxdoc (not verified), posted July 6, 2009 - 8:36am

There is no question that local businesses need much greater expertise in doing Local Internet Marketing because that's where their customers are. The internet is here to stay and they better get with the program.

It does look impressive but Google already harvests and stores huge amounts of personal data. Can you imagine how much it will get from Google Wave !!

Not to sound paranoid but they'll know so much personal information it will be scarey....
