The web was abuzz with Wolfram Alpha the past week and I too took a test drive with varying results.
Among other things I simply entered the terms 'man' and 'woman'. The results are interesting to say the least. Click here to see the output for 'woman' with the use as word option flagged (which is not available when entering man...) and tell me what you think!
Great comparison. I don't think our friends at France Telecom would be very happy either if you did a comparison between output for "Apple" versus "Orange".

I've had some mixed results. There are times when I've been very pleasantly surprised by the output, and times where I've thought, "Seriously? Come ON."
I think that Wolfram's responsiveness to user feedback is going to make or break the service.
The pinpoint details will be covered by global population which will make Alpha on of reasonable Web 3.0 properties. Last but not least man and woman will get same treatment as soon as some feminist comes along this post:).
