Global Symposium on Connected Vehicles and Infrastructure

May 14, 2013 11:00 am to May 16, 2013 5:00 pm

The University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) is pleased to host the first annual Global Symposium on Connected Vehicles and Infrastructure, May 14- 16, 2013, in Ann Arbor. This three-day event will bring together leading industry, academic and government experts to discuss and strategize how connected vehicle technology is transforming the transportation industry.

Working closely with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Texas Transportation Institute (TTI), and ITS America this symposium will have a national focus and global scope. At the same time, our event will fully engage the concentration of automotive R&D and connected vehicle deployments located in Southeast Michigan.

In addition to distinguished speakers and panel discussions covering issues including policy, technology and deployment, the event will include opportunities to meet with UMTRI researchers to learn about our ongoing research and an opportunity to tour the Ann Arbor connected technology deployment area - the largest deployment of V2V and V2I in the world, with almost 3,000 connected cars, freight trucks and transit buses.
