Clouds on the Horizon: The CLOUD Act and Global Electronic Surveillance

February 20, 2020 12:50 pm to 2:00 pm

RSVP is required for this free event.

The CLOUD Act allows the US to obtain data stored anywhere in the world by a US provider. It also allows other countries to enter into an agreement with the US so US providers can respond directly to law enforcement in those countries. The UK is the first country to enter into an agreement, and its reach is breathtaking, turning the CLOUD Act into a global surveillance system. Are there more clouds on the horizon?
