The Antitrust Paradigm: Restoring a Competitive Economy - Lunch Time Talk with Jonathan Baker

April 15, 2019 12:50 pm to 2:00 pm

RSVP is required for this free event.

The Antitrust Paradigm is about why and how to strengthen antitrust. It shows how Chicago-school inspired reforms to antitrust law beginning four decades ago combined with the growth of information technology combined to bring substantial and widening market power today. Jonathan Baker identifies ways antitrust law and enforcement should change to restore a competitive economy while navigating through increasingly choppy political waters, with particular attention to modern economic learning and the competitive problems posed by dominant information technology and Internet platforms.
