Join Our Network of Attorneys for the Documentary Film Program

The Documentary Film Program has the potential to help every documentary film that relies properly on principles of Fair Use. How many we can help depends on the resources we have.

We need experienced intellectual property attorneys to join our network of approved counsel. Approved counsel can serve a variety of roles, including:

(1) Certification of compliance with Best Practices – We need counsel to review films and certify they comply with Best Practices, which then enables the filmmaker to obtain errors and omissions insurance from Media/Professional.

(2) Defense of infringement claims – We need experienced intellectual property litigators to defend copyright infringement claims if and when they arise.

Counsel can serve in these roles on a pro bono basis, or on rates approved by Media/Professional, or a combination of both.

Your participation has the power to help documentarians make films they might otherwise not be able to make. Join us by using your skills to help this critically important medium thrive.
