Portable Media Expo

I have just arrived at the Portable Media Expo and there is a great sense of energy here. This is only my second "techy" (non-law) conference (here are my thoughts from my first) so I'm feeling very newbie-ish. I had the good fortune, however, to run into an old friend, Matt Brand, on the flight down which makes me feel welcome in these sorts of environs.

So why am I here? Tomorrow afternoon, I'll be answering questions about legal issues in podcasting on a panel moderated by Denise Howell. The panel also includes Earnest Miller and Brett Fausett (who will be iChatting in from Hawaii) (v. jealous). I'm also looking for input about legal issues that podcasters are dealing with, so I can include coverage of those questions in my forthcoming Podcasting Legal Guide.

I'll keep blogging over the next two days and include here some of my thoughts on the conference events. I'm looking forward to browsing the exhibition hall which touts some interesting gadgets...
