democratic discourse

John Palfrey paid me a nice comment on his blog-- but it got me thinking. He, and others, write their thoughts about digital democracy daily on their blogs. I spent a few weeks drafting and redrafting my column on that topic. You all get to see a stream of consiousness as their thoughts develop, but you only got to see the final, packaged, centralized version of my thoughts. Seems to contradict the very thing I critiqued.

If a true "Internet Election" is where the "Internet's design will itself be a prototype for democratic discourse and decisionmaking" (and I think that is worth pursuing), shouldn't I Palfreyfy my thoughts and blog them, rather than packaging them?
