Alex Feerst practices intellectual property law at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP with a focus on copyright law and the Internet. His clients include leading technology companies and nonprofits, such as the Indigenous Education Institute and Erowid Center.
He holds BA and JD degrees from Columbia and a PhD in English from Duke, where he was a fellow at the Kenan Institute for Ethics. A former Resident Fellow at CIS, he currently serves as a board member of the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section’s Committee on Continuing Legal Education.
